Conference Venue - CAiSE'25

Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) is the venue for the conference. TU Wien is Austria’s largest research and educational institution in the field of technology and natural sciences. It consists of 8 faculties with 51 institutes covering the classic engineering and scientific fields. CAiSE'25 is hosted by the Business Informatics Group (BIG) as part of the Institute for Information Systems Engineering at the Faculty of Informatics.

From Vienna International Airport to CAiSE'25

Vienna International Airport is about 20km from the city center of Vienna, which can easily be reached by Airport Bus Shuttle, CAT (City Airport Train), train (S-Bahn), or taxi.

Train (S-Bahn)

To get to the airport train, follow the sign “S-Bahn” in the airport arrival hall. Take the S-Bahn line S7, travel time: around 21 minutes. At stop Praterstern, change to underground U1, direction Oberlaa or Alaudagasse. Get off at stop Taubstummengasse for the pre-conference venue or stop Karlsplatz for the main conference venue. You can buy the ticket (for two zones!) at the ticket machine in the train station (4.40 Euro incl. public transport in Vienna).

CAT

The CAT takes you to the City Air Terminal (Wien-Mitte/Landstrasse, undergrounds U3 and U4) in 16 minutes. From Wien-Mitte/Landstrasse, take underground U3 direction Ottakring and stop at Stephansplatz. At Stephansplatz, change to underground U1, direction Oberlaa or Alaudagasse. Get off at stop Taubstummengasse for pre-conference venue or stop Karlsplatz for main conference venue. CATs leave the airport every half hour from 6:05 am to 11:35 pm and the City Air Terminal from 5:38 am to 11:08 pm. Several airlines offer check-in services at the City Air Terminal. Ticket price: Single ticket 14.90 Euro / Return ticket 24.90 Euro (Tickets are only valid for the CAT, not for public transport in Vienna!).

Airport Bus Shuttle

There are regular buses from the airport to Wien Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz, Wien Dörfelstrasse/Meidling, and Wien Westbahnhof. The bus station is directly in front of the airport arrival hall. Buses leave every 20 to 30 minutes. It takes around 20-40 minutes to get to Vienna. Tickets (8 Euro) can be bought on the bus or from the ticket machine. Tickets are only valid for the shuttle bus, not for public transport in Vienna! Participants who want to go directly to the conference venue from the airport are advised to take the airport bus to Wien Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz, then take underground U1 direction Oberlaa or Alaudagasse. Get off at stop Taubstummengasse for pre-conference venue or stop Karlsplatz for conference venue.

Taxi

The taxi stand at the airport is in front of the arrival hall. It takes about half an hour to get to the city centre (approx. 40-60 Euro). To go from the city to the airport, either ask your hotel to book an airport taxi or call one of the following taxi companies (all of them offer special fares to the airport): 31300, 40100, 60160, 81400, or 1716.

From the railway stations to CAiSE'25

• Wien Hauptbahnhof (Vienna Central Train Station): Take underground U1, direction Leopoldau. Get off at stop Taubstummengasse for pre-conference venue or stop Karlsplatz for conference venue.
• Wien Westbahnhof (Vienna West Train Station): Take underground U3, direction Simmering. At stop Stephansplatz change to underground U1, direction Oberlaa or Alaudagasse. Get off at stop Taubstummengasse for pre-conference venue or stop Karlsplatz for conference venue.

Travel by Own Car – Park&Ride Options

Parking in all parts of the city is costly, there are no free parking options. The cheapest option to park your car for several days is to use one of the Park&Ride garages. The one closest to the underground U1 is 21., Leopoldau (U1) (2210 Wien, Seyringerstraße/Ernst Kein Gasse), which costs 4.1 Euro per day.

Find the Registration Desk

• Monday-Tuesday (16-17 June): The registration desk will be located in the foyer on the ground floor at Favoritenstraße 11.
• Wednesday-Friday (18-20 June): The registration desk will be located in the foyer on the 1st floor at Karlsplatz 13.
