The registration for the BI Week 2024 is available via the ConfTool at https://www.conftool.com/biweek2024. To register, please create an account in the ConfTool.
Registration for the BI Week 2024 involves a flat fee which includes access to both conferences including the satellite events (workshops, tutorials), lunch and coffee breaks, and social events. The program will be announced after the paper acceptance decisions by EDOC and the workshops in early August. To provide an overview, we expect that the program runs from Tuesday, 10 Sep to Friday, 12 Sep.
An author of each accepted paper must register at the regular (“full”) rate until 2 August at the latest. An author may register for up to two accepted papers, while paying an additional fee for the second paper. The PhD/Master Student registration fee is only available for students. Proof of being a student (such as a Student ID Card) must be shown at the registration desk. Student Registration also includes the social events. A Student who is an author of an accepted paper may only register for the PhD/Master Student fee, if another author has already registered at the regular (“full”) rate.
The BI Week also involves a number of Mini-Dagstuhl Seminars, which are by invitation only. The BI Week registration includes also the Mini-Dagstuhl seminars for invited Mini-Dagstuhl participants. Invited Mini-Dagstuhl participants who are not participating in the rest of the BI Week may register as Mini-Dagstuhl participants, which includes access to the BI Week only at the day of the corresponding Mini-Dagstuhl seminar (including lunch and coffee break) and the social event.

Illustrative registration examples (all based on the early registration until 2 August):
Authors X and Y got paper 1 and Authors X and Z got paper 2 accepted. Author X may register at the regular (“full”) registration fee and pay a fee for the second paper (€ 600 + € 300 = € 900)
Authors X and Y got paper 1 and Authors X and Z got papers 2 and 3 accepted. Author X may register at the regular (“full”) registration fee and pay a fee for the second paper (€ 600 + € 300 = € 900). In addition, either Author Y or Author Z needs to register at the regular (“full”) registration fee (€ 600) to cover the third paper.
Authors X, Y, and Z got paper 1 accepted. X and Y are both PhD students and Person Z is not able to participate at BI Week 2024. Author X needs to register at the regular (“full”) registration fee (€ 600), and Author Y may register at the PhD/Master Student fee (€ 350).
Author X got paper 1 accepted and is invited to a Mini-Dagstuhl Seminar. Author X needs to register at the regular (“full”) registration fee (€ 600) which also includes the participation in the Mini-Dagstuhl Seminar.
Person Y is invited to a Mini-Dagstuhl Seminar. Since Person Y is interested in other sessions of the BI Week, Person Y registers at the regular (“full”) registration fee (€ 600) which includes also her/his participation in the Mini-Dagstuhl Seminar.
Person Z is invited to a Mini-Dagstuhl Seminar. Since Person Z is only available on the day of the Mini-Dagstuhl Seminar, Person Z registers at the Mini-Dagstuhl Participant fee (€ 200).
Person X participates in the BI Week 2024. Person X’s spouse is with her/him in Vienna and wants to join her/him in the evenings for the Mayors’ Reception at a “Heurigen” and at the Conference Dinner. Person X registers at the regular conference fee (€ 600) which includes her/his social events and adds two tickets for the social events for her/his spouse (€ 70 + € 100, in total € 770).
Person Y is a PhD Student and participates in the BI Week 2024. Person Y’s spouse is with her/him in Vienna and wants to join her/him in the evenings for the Mayors’ Reception at an“Heurigen” and at the Conference Dinner. Person Y registers at the PhD/Master Student fee (€ 350) which includes her/his social events and adds two tickets for the social events for her/his spouse (€ 70 + € 100, in total € 520).
Person Z is an invited participant to a Mini-Dagstuhl Seminar, but does not participate on other days of the BI Week 2024. Person Z’s spouse is with her/him in Vienna and wants to join her/him in the evening for the social event (which is either the Mayors’ Reception at a “Heurigen” or the Conference Dinner). Person Z registers at the Mini-Dagstuhl Participant fee (€ 200) which includes her/his social event, and adds depending on the day of the Mini-Dagstuhl seminar a ticket for the Mayors’ Reception at the Heurigen (€ 70, in total € 270) or the Conference Dinner (€100, in total € 300) for her/his spouse.
